Mr ROSE Those little anniversaries on the welcome page of the website often take me by surprise since I compiled most of them about a year ago. I see it was forty years ago this week that Independent TV recorded Michael Bird's Mr Rose story "The Jolly Good Fellow". Around this time last year, when I bought my copy of "The Jolly Good Fellow" from the ITV archives, a lot of folk said how much they enjoyed the series. I am toying with the idea of purchasing Bird's other Mr Rose episode "The Unlucky Dip" . (It will cost nearly Ł200!!) Does anyone else think this episode would be worth pursuing?	Arthur of the Britons Has anyone bought the DVD release of the TV series Arthur of the Britons by any chance? Michael Bird scripted one half hour episode. I am reluctant to buy an entire series of a show I am not particularly interested in just to get a copy of Bird's episode (yet I am considering paying up to Ł200 for an episode of Mr Rose - I must be mad). If anyone has Arthur of the Britons and would be prepared to lend me the relevant disk for a short time I would be most grateful.
YTV PUBLICITY STILLS Someone seems to have unearthed a little stash of old YTV publicity stills. In recent weeks I have bought two publicity shots for The Winning Streak and one for The Outsider on e-Bay and currently there is another Outsider shot of Joanna Dunham. I have bid for it and if successful will upload a scan next week.
DOWNTIME Over the next few months I will be extremely busy in my 'day job', lots of evening meetings etc. which will inevitably restrict the time available for 'fun' (including updating the website and composing newsletters) I just wanted to reassure you that I have not lost interest - normal service will be resumed after Christmas, hopefully.
