IAN HENDRY PICTURE It is only a photograph of Ian Hendry and Janet Munro in happier times but it was so nice to see Ian Hendry smiling I had to include it somewhere on the site - I decided on The Informer page. Once again I am grateful to Liam Byrne - keeper of the Janet Munro website. If you have not seen Liam's site it is well worth a visit - there is a link to it on the Links page of the MJB site. |
THE LOTUS EATERS There is a copy of the 1972 Radio Times which introduced The Lotus Eaters up for sale on e-Bay at present. WEBSITE PROBLEMS Problems experienced by my web host meant the website was out of commission for a couple of days. Happily it has now been restored. It is annoying since the site regularly attracts about 20 new visitors a day and many of them will just assume it is another piece of internet flotsam and not bother to return. |

PAUL TEMPLE I splashed out and bought a copy of Michael Bird's Paul Temple script "Night Train" from the BBC archives (it cost over £50!) and with it came details of the recording sessions for the episode. I have added them to the Paul Temple page. You have to be a real 'TV buff' to appreciate that sort of detail but it all goes to make up the bigger picture. |

WHO PAYS THE FERRYMAN? Michael Bird was not one to stand on the sidelines while any of his creations were being produced. For Who Pays the Ferryman? Bird even turned his hand to writing the little blurb that appeared in Radio Times each week as a teaser. Bird's suggestions were not used but since I have copies I thought folk might be interested to see what he had in mind. I have added them to the 'Radio Times' page in the Ferryman section. |
